Bio
Coach Kendrick is an alumni of Boyle County High School where he played Offensive Line, Linebacker, and Defensive line and was a part of two state titles as a player. Coach Kendrick then went on to play Defensive Line at Lindsey Wilson where he was a part of the school's first ever conference championship and three national playoff appearances (top 16 in the nation). While at Lindsey Wilson he would get his degree in History and Social Sciences to teach High School and coach. In 2017 Kendrick would begin his coaching career at Southwestern High School for the '17 and '18 seasons. During his time at Southwestern he served a few different roles as the coach of the Running Backs, Offensive Line, and Linebackers. He also was promoted to the head strength and conditioning coach during his second year there.
In January of 2019, Coach Kendrick made the move to Bullitt East to serve as the Offensive Line coach, run game coordinator, and JV Offensive Coordinator under Head Coach, Ethan Atchley. After two seasons, Kendrick was promoted to the varsity offensive coordinator in 2021.
In 2022, Coach Kendrick was promoted to the position of Head Football Coach for the Chargers to continue building off of the momentum that had been generated by Coach Atchley. In taking up the mantle during his first season as head coach, Kendrick would lead the Chargers to the best season in school history culminating in a 14-1 record and Bullitt East's first ever 6A district championship, 6A regional championship, and all-around first state championship. Additionally, in his first season, Coach Kendrick was able to see six athletes sign to play football at the college level including 2-D1 athletes, 2-D2 athletes, and 2-NAIA athletes.
In 2023, Kendrick led the Chargers to a 9-3 record and a top 10 RPI ranking at the end of the regular season. Not only this but the Chargers finished as a top 10 stat leader offensively and defensively in Kentucky 6A rankings. For the second year in a row more than 15 athletes were named to the KY 6A District 4, all-district team, and two athletes were selected to the Courier Journal All-State Team. Kendrick also received back-to-back District Coach of the Year for Class 6A District 4. So far, the Chargers have signed one athlete to the D1 level in 2023.
